Children can arrive as early as 6:00 AM and enjoy free play as their friends arrive. This is a favorite time for activities like play dough, art, or block play. During nice weather, we may water the garden and fill the bird feeders before breakfast.

Breakfast is served around 7:45 AM. After breakfast, we head outside for fresh air and fun. School-age children board the bus during this time. Morning activities may include gardening, animal care, large motor activities, sensory experiences, art, story time, music and movement, nature walks, or cooking projects. (Please note: We may take walks during this time, and for safety, the gate will be closed. Enrolled parents receive the gate code.)

For school-age children.

Clean-up time begins around 11:30 AM, including bathroom breaks or diaper changes, washing hands, and setting the table for lunch. After lunch, we continue with hand washing, tooth brushing, and a quiet time for reading, storytelling, or special activities like Zoophonics, Second Step, and Creative Curriculum projects.

Lunch is a special moment where children gather around the table to share a meal together, fostering a sense of community and practicing social skills. It’s a time to enjoy nutritious food, learn about healthy eating habits, and engage in conversation. Children help with small tasks, like passing utensils or serving        themselves, promoting independence and confidence. After lunch, everyone cleans up, washes hands, and brushes their teeth to encourage good hygiene practices.

After gathering time, children can participate in teacher-led preschool activities, spend time outdoors (weather permitting), or enjoy quiet activities like reading, storytelling, drawing, playing games, or special activities like Zoophonics, Second Step, and Creative Curriculum projects
At 1:00 PM, children aged 2 to 4 have a rest/nap time, as required by state licensing regulations. Children are not forced to stay on their cot once awake or if they do not fall asleep after 20 minutes of rest. They are encouraged to listen to their bodies and rest as needed.

Snack time begins at 3:00 PM, followed by free play outside unless weather prevents it (due to severe heat, rain, or wind). Children who wake up later or arrive from the bus will be offered a snack upon waking or arrival.

And snack for school-age children.

We end the day by putting away toys, cleaning them as needed, and maintaining a tidy environment. Infant toys are sanitized in the dishwasher nightly. We also vacuum and dust the playroom, disinfect surfaces, clean the play yard, empty water tables, and cover the sandbox.
